I'm in Vail, Colorado, this week at a conference organized by our software vendor, Resort Data Processing. I'm learning about the upgrades to their product, and what that will mean for us, and how long we can delay upgrading to Vista, which in turns probably means an upgrade to the latest version of Pervasive. On the one hand, the customer conference is deadly dull, and aimed at the lowest common denominator of their customer base. On the other hand, Colorado has a great brewing culture, and I have been exploring some brewpubs in the vicinity. So last weeks Sunday Luann strip is particularly poignant.

All in all, I'd rather be here than in the office listening to some nitwit complain that they saw a cricket and they want their money back; or they brought extra people and don't want to pay for them; or it's raining and they need a discount, 'cause they could have stayed at home in the rain.
