So Bush has decided to do something to help out the people who borrowed more money than they could afford the pay back? Why? Mainly because he used the house sales generated by the predatory lending practices of the financial industry to prove he was good for the economy. This from the President who made sure you and I would no longer have the protection of Chapter 13, yet businesses would.
If you bought a house you couldn't afford based on a variable interest rate, it's not the government's fault. It's not the bank's fault. It's not my fault. I think it's the fault of the person who signed the note and didn't read the fine print and do the math.
